October 16, 2015. The slab for our new house has been curing for a week, so in the meantime I’ve focused on our backyard. It’s been fairly easy to trim the lower limbs from the trees we want to keep and lop down the small stunted trees we don’t want. Overall the area looks good, as you can see. Saturday, we discovered the first of the flood’s effects: the road that leads to our new home was closed because a huge sink hole caused half of it to collapse. My bestie in Calgary got engaged and naturally during one of my visits we went out for engagement photos! They have since married and I couldn't be happier for them. As a volunteer for The Tiny Light Foundation. I get to photograph some very special kids. Holden was one of them and his energy made it hard to keep up! Despite being eaten by mosquitos, we had a blast at the session! Shooting in the studio during the winter months. One of my favorite images of 5 month old Amelia!
