Burn The Desk: April 2010
http://burnthedesk.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Memories of rock, mud, snow, ice and sweat. Sunday, April 25, 2010. The WMC have a meet at Cornwall next week, right down by Land's End for the bank holiday and me and Kate are heading down after work Friday :) Kate hasn't done much climbing and less outdoors so I thought rather than have a first go with the sea bashing away at a cliff below you; a nice bit of top roping in rural Shropshire would be a good idea so we headed to Pontesford Rocks. Kate on Moonlight Variation (Diff). I set up the top rope an...

ercall stompers: Hooray, Hooray it's a Holi-Holi Day :-)
http://ercallstompers.blogspot.com/2013/04/hooray-hooray-its-holi-holi-day.html
You go running, I go running, we go running. Monday, 15 April 2013. Hooray, Hooray it's a Holi-Holi Day :-). I'm back from a week in the sun of Tenerife. I had a brilliant week with family, and I took a book called 'Running with the Kenyans' with me. I learned that the Kenyans don't seem to have any magic secrets, it's just hard work apparently. Pleased with my new-found mojo I've worked out a new training routine for home. So far, it's working. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 6th placed team at Exe ...

ercall stompers: Wild? Go wild in the country..
http://ercallstompers.blogspot.com/2012/11/wild-go-wild-in-country.html
You go running, I go running, we go running. Thursday, 22 November 2012. Go wild in the country. While I'm not running, I've taken the opportunity to help out at a couple of local races. One of those was our club's outing to the local Cross Country league. It's been a while since cross-country runners were required to run semi-naked and vault stone walls (.it seemed like a nice picture though.) but that doesn't mean it's not tough, just, er, a wee bit 'safer'. The kids are funny; there is a mix of dead s...

Burn The Desk: April 2013
http://burnthedesk.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Memories of rock, mud, snow, ice and sweat. Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Physio, planning and perspective. Well I don't want to turn this into a training log so I won't rattle off a bunch of stuff I've been (not been) doing. If I look at my training the volume is good but I wonder if I have making the most of my time. Perhaps I'm just feeling sorry for myself because I had too much to drink over the weekend or maybe it has been the niggles I've been getting with my legs. Links to this post. The last 1483 days.

Burn The Desk: Summer Programme
http://burnthedesk.blogspot.com/2013/05/summer-programme.html
Memories of rock, mud, snow, ice and sweat. Monday, May 20, 2013. I'm a bit knackered - did 50 miles on the bike at the weekend along with a day of rallying and visiting family and I've just got back from my first session in the pool for my summer programme - in a nutshell this will be short! Here is the ride from Sunday morning:. The time rich plan looked a bit hardcore so I've opted for the time poor plan which is closer to what I am doing already. Here's a post swim pick of my notes! http://burnthedesk.blogspot.com/2013/05/fellsman-2013.html
Memories of rock, mud, snow, ice and sweat. Monday, May 20, 2013. Well, it's been some time since the Fellsman and although I mean to update this more often I've not got into the routine of it again just yet. Thankfully I roped Jo into coming to Yorkshire with me. I was worried about driving back and concerned that I might need someone to prop me up. After the first (biggest? On the way up Whernside. I got back to the pub had a couple of hours sleep before the road in front of the pub was dug up! Rob Joh...
