선박해양플랜트연구소 과학과 인문학 융합교육의 장을 열다. 선박해양플랜트연구소(소장 서상현, 이하 KRISO )가 융합교육 페스티벌(이하 KCEF 2016 )을 개최한다. 최근 과학(S), 기술(T), 공학(E), 예술(A), 수학(M) 등 다양한 분야가 융합된 형태의 융합교육(STEAM)의 중요성이 커짐에 따라 인문학과 과학이 융합된 미래인재 양성 프로그램 개발 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 이에 KRISO는 기존에 직원들을 대상으로 운영하던 인문학 교육프로그램과 해양과학 교육기부 프로그램을 융합함으로써 직원의 능력 배양 및 창의 미래인재 양성에 이바지 하고자 KCEF 2016을 계획하였다. KCEF 2016은 8월 8일(월)부터 11일(목)까지 나흘간 열리며 해양과학교실, 연구시설 방문, 인문학 특강으로 구성되어 있다. 전체 교육프로그램을 이수한 참가자에 한하여 수료증이 발급되며, 프로그램 종료 후 수기 공모를 하여 우수자에게는 연구소장상이 수여된다. 문의를 통해 확인할 수 있다.
