Nature exploration in the vicinity of Florida. Saturday, August 1, 2015. The Edibility of Puffballs: An Attempt to Try Something New. http://floridanaturefinder.blogspot.com/2015/08/one-amazing-lizard-incredible-feet.html
Nature exploration in the vicinity of Florida. Saturday, August 1, 2015. One Amazing Lizard – An Incredible “Feet”. As we pulled out of our driveway, there was a brown Anolis lizard perched on the arm of my windshield wiper. I was wondering if the lizard would dive into a crack and hide under the hood. He stayed right where he was. The slow speeds in town didn’t seem to bother him. He rode ou...

Nature exploration in the vicinity of Florida. Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Giant Delicious Mushrooms in Gainesville Florida. In early August the grand children and I were exploring some forest near our house in Gainesville, Florida. During our walk we discovered giant mushrooms! Rose and Mirin holding amazing giant edible mushrooms. They had a firm texture and a mild taste. Overall, they were really good! Also appearing now are chanterelles, and our favorite - the orange capped Lacterius hygrophoroides.
