Terry Stone: January 2009
http://terryjostone.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Baby, It's Cold Out There. No joking, it was 3 degrees this morning. Brr. That meant another two hour delay for the kids. Which meant that by the time they climbed into the bus, my dog was wired up. Otis, the dog, and Art, my youngest, cannot be around each other for any extended period of time (think 5 minutes) without a boisterous romp ensuing. I don't romp. Especially not with a dog half my size. Sometimes, I really miss my little beagle! Otis staring at. . . 3 A book that...

Terry Stone: April 2009

Tuesday, April 28, 2009. And I love assignments where I get to help my kiddos learn more about history. But when my youngest came home saying he had to make a paper bag puppet of a historical figure-I was flummoxed. And then I decided to go wild and be creative. I cut up twine for hair, I cut up an old lace curtain for a jabot, and I cut up a pair of glasses that came complete with a humongous fake nose (sadly, the nose has been lost for a while or I would have used it too). Friday, October 31, 2008. A Haunting We Will Go. Happy Halloween, Ya'll! I thought, since it's Halloween and on Halloween, everyone loves a ghost story-I will tell you a couple that happened to me. My daughter and I are huge fans of paranormal shows (Ghost Hunters, John Edwards, etc.). Unfortunately, the daughter and I are huge cowards that are susceptible to flights of imagination. These are not your average ghost stories, so reader beware. Pressed against the glass in a face! Once my heart settles down...

Sunday, November 29, 2009. Rocking Around the Hurricanes. Welcome if you're from Between Naps on the Porch! I am loving me some hurricanes for this holiday season. When I saw a fabulous post on another blog highlighting how to make one-I had to give it a try. Me, that's who! See that little hurricane with the beads and the amber ornament inside? The one with the big arrow pointed at it? It was $1 on clearance at Home Goods-the only thing I could find wrong with it was it needed washed. I kid you not!

Wednesday, December 23, 2009. Sleigh bells ring, are you listening. In the lane snow is glistening. A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight. Walking in a winter wonderland. When it snows, ain't it thrillin. Though your nose gets a chillin. We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way. Walking in a winter wonderland. And yes, I skipped through the lyrics because it was flipping cold outside! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Painted House by John Grisham. Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. A Place for Originals.
