I guess she found it a better surface for practicing walking than the floor. We all paused in our chaotic workout to cheer for her. Just 3 days shy of 18 months. Saturday, September 6, 2014. I thought it would be funny to pretend to nibble on Tammy's fingers. She thought it was hilarious, and now she sticks her fingers in my mouth on a regular basis so we can play this game. She now has seven teeth: 4 on top, 3 on bottom. She is starting to gain some mobility by scooting on her butt on the floor, propelled by her hands. While I was reading Rip a bedtime story tonight, she scooted halfway across the boys' room and started pulling books out of the shelf.

Monday, October 20, 2014. We had a birthday party yesterday with a Beatrix Potter theme. Guinevere made a beautiful cake with painted illustrations on fondant on the outside, and a heart shape on the inside (continuing the tradition of fun surprises when the cake is cut). Tammy is scooting everywhere (in the same alternative-to-crawling pioneered by Rip), and frequently ignoring the many toys we provide for her in favor of Getting Into Things. Night light! Vacuum cleaner power cord! Bag of giant markers!
