Mess and Happiness: Girls' Night

http://messandhappiness.blogspot.com/2012/06/girls-night.html

Sunday, June 3, 2012. It was a much-needed, restorative getaway. I haven't taken pictures in a while and just holding my camera in my hands and working my trigger finger did my soul some serious good. We watched a movie and got stuck inside the next day because it rained and rained. That was actually a different kind of nice, even though I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to go back to the beach. I love Florida rainy days.just not when I want to get to the beach :). Mess and Happiness: June 2011

http://messandhappiness.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 30, 2011. Andrew and I were minding our own business in the living room today when I heard some noises in the carport. The ensuing kerfluffle was only enough to be a nuisance to me at first, but once I tuned into it, I realized that there were thumps out there and a cardinal chip-chip-chipping in the front yard. I sent Drew outside, thinking it was probably nothing, but within a moment, he was tapping on the window, motioning for me to come out and help. He managed to fly long enough to ma...

Mess and Happiness: Way Back When

http://messandhappiness.blogspot.com/2012/06/way-back-when.html

Monday, June 4, 2012. You know that whole time when I wasn't talking to you, Blog? Like, from January until now? Well, my family did some fun stuff in there. Here's proof: We went to the Strawberry Festival and Drew marched in the parade. We went to Legoland and my nephew, who loves anything to do with vehicles, got to drive some stuff. My kids got to meet their heroes. Just kidding. But I love the difference in Emma's face between Darth Vader and R2D2. June 7, 2012 at 1:41 PM. View my complete profile.

Mess and Happiness: August 2011

http://messandhappiness.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 13, 2011. Today, we brought this girl home from a shelter. They named her Molly and we think it suits her nicely. We think that's what we'll call her too. We don't know much about her story before she met us, but we plan to write a much better one for her from this point forward. We had only sort of been thinking about a dog for Emma (though, really, if it's a dog, it's for the whole family, right? When we met her and it was just, well, fate. Thursday, August 11, 2011. Mess and Happiness: Eighteen

http://messandhappiness.blogspot.com/2015/07/eighteen.html

Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Today, we reached a huge milestone. My son, my first baby, turned 18. He's an adult. I mean, at least in the eyes of the government, for whatever that's worth. Personally, I'm still not quite an adult myself and I kind of hope my children will never really be adults. His heavy, little head rested on my shoulder and his torso reached down to my ribs, with his little feet tucked in underneath.and he looked so tall. And that's when it started. I looked back through my archives to fi...

The Year in Review Part 2 | The Mrs. Adventures of Button Girl

https://buttongirl.wordpress.com/2012/01/07/the-year-in-review-part-2-3

The Mrs. Adventures of Button Girl. The Year in Review…Part 1. A Mad Dash →. The Year in Review Part 2. January 7, 2012. The girls loved the aquarium. Yes, the girls were with us. They kept my Mom and Dad company while Travis and I explored the area. It had a swanky hallway and fabulous floors. The view from our balcony to the left was the Tennessee River. And to the right was the resort pool. The decor is a bit rustic/outdoorsy…. They cater to golfers after all. Which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

The Mrs. Adventures of Button Girl. The Year in Review…Part 1 →. You Might Have Noticed. December 13, 2011. So, you might have noticed that my last post is missing. It is and it’s not a computer glitch. See, Travis and I have vastly different views of what being discreet is. My view of being discreet is what I wrote and his is more something like this…. God is doing big stuff! Anybody that knows us knows that we are really different. Different is good. As it applies to us, he keeps me from. Blog at WordP...

Catch-Up | The Mrs. Adventures of Button Girl

https://buttongirl.wordpress.com/2011/12/05/catch-up-2

The Mrs. Adventures of Button Girl. You Might Have Noticed →. December 5, 2011. It’s a catch-up post! First off, it’s Amanda’s last week of classes! Then finals and then she’ll be home for at least 3 weeks! 8221; was said several times a day. But the weather was (mostly) nice and it was even warm enough for the kids to eat Thanksgiving dinner outside. And I’m very happy that I took the time to refinish my patio chairs. We visited mutual friends (that I’ve mentioned a million times), Kris and Mary a...

https://buttongirl.wordpress.com/2012/01/09/a-mad-dash

The Mrs. Adventures of Button Girl. The Year in Review Part 2. My Girl, Button Girl →. January 9, 2012. Amanda has been here for 3 weeks now and it’s time for her to go back to school. I’m a little sad. I’m also in a mad rush to get her car fixed so she can leave. What happened to her car you ask? A raccoon. A raccoon happened to her car. I made a call to the insurance company and as it turns out, hitting an animal is covered under comprehensive on her policy. The policy we’d changed to less th...Which i...

View from the Edge: January 2011

http://ourviewfromtheedge.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

View from the Edge. This blog is the wild, crazy, sometimes painfully honest journey of a woman who lives on the edge and loves it there! Wednesday, January 19, 2011. This morning as Levi was getting out of the car for school, we had this conversation:. Me: "You are the best little boy I know.". Levi: "And you are the best BIG mom that I know.". I chuckled a little and cringed a little at the idea of being called a BIG mom. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Corner of Mercy and Grace. Woman On The Edge.

View from the Edge. This blog is the wild, crazy, sometimes painfully honest journey of a woman who lives on the edge and loves it there! Thursday, March 03, 2011. I walked through the living room at work today. One of our residents stopped me. She's from Cuba and sometimes has difficulty finding the English word that suits what she wants to say. She took my hand and looked up at me. "You look so. I mean you are so. (gesturing toward my general person) You are always so. EFFECTIVE! Or "Love your hair!

View from the Edge. This blog is the wild, crazy, sometimes painfully honest journey of a woman who lives on the edge and loves it there! Saturday, July 02, 2011. It's time. Time to resurface from a long trip to the depths. I gotta tell ya, over the last few years, I've hardly known what to do or say. Even one day at a time has sometimes been too much. My life fell apart, and what does a girl do as her heart's getting put back together piece by piece? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Woman On The Edge.

View from the Edge. This blog is the wild, crazy, sometimes painfully honest journey of a woman who lives on the edge and loves it there! Friday, February 11, 2011. I have "twin skin." I've actually had it for years, even though I didn't learn the term until last week when I ran across the site Shape of a Mother. I daily encounter the effects of aging on the body, and in doing so I see that a beautiful person needs much more than physical beauty to remain truly beautiful. I must remember the fact that my...

Here’s the Rub | The Mrs. Adventures of Button Girl

https://buttongirl.wordpress.com/2010/08/16/heres-the-rub

The Mrs. Adventures of Button Girl. Picture Post →. Here’s the Rub. August 16, 2010. But maybe not so weird. I ran across an article, purely by chance (if there is such a thing), about sub-clinical gluten intolerance. Well, actually I took a quiz. From Dr. Mercola about the foods I should be eating. See, I was so hungry *all the time* that I thought that more diet changes might be in order. Should I be eating more fat? So why go through this whole boring blog post of what I suspect is wrong with me?

Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Je suis, donc je déménage. Not blogging too much these days, because I just don’t seem to have the time or motivation. Finding sanity while parenting kids who operate at warp speed! Saving the world in 5 minutes – How you can help end human slavery in the 21st century. Last week I asked the question “ where is the outrage over the 27 million. You can’t solve the problem if you don’t know it exists. When I first started talking about human slavery with my daughter, I went online and found some great organisations and I read about what they were doing to help stop human slavery around the globe.
