Thursday, April 23, 2015. Railroads built the Pacific Northwest. There is a fairly new exhibit on display in the foyer of the Train Shed. Railroads Built the Pacific Northwest was designed by the Webb Group and fabricated by Artcraft Display Graphics Inc. And UW Special Collections. The companion webpage is available on the Museum's website. The exhibit is now on display every Saturday as part of the Tour Package program. More than 2,000 people took an excursion or tour, and an estimated 12,000 visitors attended at least one event or activity. A grand parade, fun run. Live music, history reenactors from Fort Nisqually. Timber sports demonstrations and more made this Snoqualmie Railroad Days one to remember! Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Peruvian sister city visit. The City of Snoqualmie recently formed a sister city relationship with Chaclacayo, Peru. As part of the relationship, Snoqualmie is sending surplus firefighting equipment to that community located about 17 miles from Lima, Peru. To transport the gear from Snoqualmie to Peru, officials in both countries worked to arrange a visit from a Peruvian naval vessel. Representative Marine Reserve Colonel Jay Rodne, who also had a hand in helping arrange the visit.
