Puerto Escondido 6th December - 20th December. Thursday, December 16, 2010. A local lady called Yola is part of one of the churches here in Puerto. Yola and her family help out at the orphanage and with Mando and Myra and the CS crew. On top of all this they often take in people and look after them in their own home. Yola has a house. It was a white house, a little bland and uninspiring. So we painted it bright red. 16 people and a full days work means Yola's house will now be a beacon in the street.

Puerto Escondido 6th December - 20th December. Monday, January 3, 2011. Learn to Surf Day at La Punta. On the last Sunday morning El Faro and Christian Surfers held a free 'learn to surf' day for any kids in the area. This was an encouraging event as some of the best young surfers (mostly teenagers) in the area came along to give a few hours of their day to help some of the kids that live around Puerto and yet hardly get in the water! Puerto Escondido 6th December - 20th December. Monday, January 3, 2011. On Saturday and Sunday nights El Faro and Christian Surfers Peurto Escondido put on an outreach event down on the main stretch of Playa Zicatella (the beach at Puerto). The nights started with a band playing as the crowd began to gather and build to about two hundred the first night and a little less the second. The night was then finished off with a dvd playing on a large screen, as people mingled, chatted and slowly cleared the area.
