Wednesday, June 3, 2015. I have been a little under the weather, so I decided to look through some old sketchbooks. Here are a few of the ones I remember with fondness. Looking back through all my sketchbooks, I have realized I need to sketch a lot more. I feel it is vital to making good paintings. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Meyer East Gallery, Santa Fe. Sketchbook: Show this Friday
http://zacharyproctor.blogspot.com/2015/03/show-this-friday.html
Tuesday, March 17, 2015. I am having a show this Friday, 6-9pm in Park City at the Terzian Galleries. Come check out the 20 new paintings I have hanging there. We got a good write up in Southwest Art Magazine. My wife and I were in Park City this past weekend, and we saw your painting entitled Anticipating Darkness. It really caught my eye. I just wanted to leave you a note to tell you that your painting really inspired me. I wish I had half your talent. June 21, 2015 at 8:49 PM. View my complete profile.

Sketchbook: December 2014
http://zacharyproctor.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 4, 2014. We are surrounded by systems. Some of these systems function to a degree of order and others to a degree of disorder. There seems to be a randomness as to why one operates as it should while others fail. There is a lack of predictability to it all. Why did one function so well, while the other failed? This painting was a reflection on those experiences. Entropy, 40"x 46", oil on canvas. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Meyer East Gallery, Santa Fe. Never, Neverland, United States.

Part Them Asunder, oil on canvas, 36"x 36". Dreams of my Father, oil on canvas, 20"x 20". A car race is comparable to life, there is preparation, then a start, a middle and a finish. I enjoy painting this series because I can reflect on this analogy. Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Some New Car Paintings.

Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Bind up the Brokenhearted". Bind up the Brokenhearted",. 48" x 48", oil on canvas. This painting is a reflection on various themes, mostly though, I was thinking of what we can aspire to when we are at our best as a nation. As it says on the Statue of Liberty:. Give me your tired, your poor,. Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,. The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,. I lift my lamp beside the golden door!
