Saturday, August 3, 2013. To Penelope: 4 years. Sometimes it is hard to believe that time passes so swiftly. I guess because the hurt still feels new. They say time heals all wounds but I know the ache will never go away. We can face each new day because our hope is in Christ and we hold on to the promise that He works all things for our good. We love you and miss you baby girl. PS Your night light is from your Aunt Dorothy. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). To Penelope: 4 years. View my complete profile.

Collins' Chronicles: April
http://rachelnscott.blogspot.com/2015/05/april.html
Thursday, May 7, 2015. The Scort aka The Timex. Mr C turns 70! We celebrated my father-in-law's 70th birthday with gas station garage theme based on the Collins' Phillips 66 gas station that he ran for years. It was surprise party and we did very well with the surprise part of it until right before the party. Mr. C's original tool box and bicycle. They also used to race go carts. Notice the shop rags in the Coke glasses. Drop jar; sausages; crackers and loud air horn. Guess someone is a WVU fan! Scott an...

Collins' Chronicles: March
http://rachelnscott.blogspot.com/2015/05/march_7.html
Thursday, May 7, 2015. Found a great deal on a bike for our guardian child. Scott put training wheels on it and she is now riding like a pro. Not pictured: Hosted a birthday gathering for my sister-in-law, fellowshipped with church on roller skating night but neither of us were brave enough to skate. Began drinking a green healthy drink daily. Not a very exciting month photo wise. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Watermark template. Powered by Blogger.

Collins' Chronicles: January
http://rachelnscott.blogspot.com/2015/05/january.html
Thursday, May 7, 2015. Apparently it is a southern tradition to have "greens" and black eyed peas on New Year's Day. I think pork chops are also acceptable as part of this meal but we were participation in a Daniel Fast so no meat. As the photo plainly shows - I am not a black eyed pea fan at all! I'm not a "greens" fan either, but our friends in Mississippi shared this kale and carrot recipe that I could manage to eat. The other item was sweet potatoes. Happy New Year! Posed in front of the tree. Not pi...

Collins' Chronicles: July 2014
http://rachelnscott.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. It's hard to believe it's been a year since I posted something on my blog. Now that most of my family is on Facebook - I don't post here often. But it seemed appropriate that I type something for your anniversary day. Today I also made a donation in your memory - what we probably would have spent on your party. I hope to be able to do that every year. So that we always remember those less fortunate than we are - even through our grief. 5 years and we are still "Learning to Lean".
