Rev Anthony J. Vines. St Paul Missionary Baptist Church began in August 1917 as service was held under a brush harbor until a permanent building could be built. It originated out of the Holly Grove Baptist Church on highway 191 in Jemison, AL. During this time, many experienced transportation hardships and the elders expressed the need for a church in the community so that individuals without transportation can walk to a church located in their own community. Ninety-nine years and still standing strong.
