I have been in a communication black hole for the last couple of weeks, but we have recently arrived back into civilization (ha who knew civilization existed in Namibia? And I have a chunk of time because today is one of those rare study day rest days where we have absolutely nothing to do but study and rest! Sunday, September 14, 2008. News from South Africa. I talked to Melissa. She said that internet access is difficult to get to and expensive so I’ll pass on some of her news for her here…. Their truck—a big double decker blue one- arrived and they headed to Kruger National Park. They stopped at an animal rescue—the details are escaping me a bit here but I do remember that when they got to their campsite at Kruger they couldn’t get in because there was a rhino in the way! Monday, September 29, 2008. Way to much to say in way to little time. The internet situation here is horendous. I thought Id have some time but turns out there is one computer in the whole town for 18 girls and 5 teachers ugggh. This will be quick. Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Update from South Africa. Then we went backpacking for a two night hike (we all wish it was longer) through Tstsikama national park. It was beautiful and relazing and we got to eat the most delicious dark chocolate coconut marshmellow smores EVER! Today we are in Hermanaus which is a cute beach town. Yesterday night we went our to dinnner! Thats all for now but Ill try to send updates from CAPE TOWN! Wish me luck on meeting my host family today. October 22, 2008 at 7:57 AM.

Tuesday, April 1, 2008. So we just spent a week on the sandy beaches of moncora. You could see the ocean from where we were staying and every opportunity we got we were out at the beach. The whole town was incredibly beautiful and so much fun. Then we had a 24 hour bus ride (GASP! Hopefully I will have some amazing stories to tell about the Santa Cruz trek in a couple weeks, wish me luck with a bizillion pound backpack on my back haha. Love and Miss You so Much!
