Beth From Bynum: Thick Skin and a Tender Heart . . . .
http://bethfrombynum.blogspot.com/2013/09/thick-skin-and-tender-heart.html
Monday, September 30, 2013. Thick Skin and a Tender Heart . . . . Very seldom does a Sunday service go by where I don't leave church feeling like I've been in the presence of the Lord. Along with that comes a certainty that the old evil one is going to pull out all the stops at discouraging me. It seems that he starts earlier and earlier in the weekend to make it happen. He doesn't wait until Monday morning to begin. I'm slowly, but surely coming to the realization that I cannot make people do what I thi...

Beth From Bynum: CC and JJ
http://bethfrombynum.blogspot.com/2015/07/cc-and-jj.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. I am hesitant to write about this but have felt led by the Lord to share it as a testimony to God's grace and mercy and as a reminder of how important it is to trust God and be obedient not only to His Word but also to His small, quiet voice that speaks to us. (I am in NO WAY bragging about my part in this saga. God gets all the credit and glory.). My gift to you! I thanked her for the buggy and told her that I would in turn bless someone else with it. After finding the items I wan...

Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Hoarders: Is There Hope? I was raised by a wonderful mother who grew up very poor during the depression years. Her family saved everything out of necessity, from aluminum foil (when they could get it) to used nails. I remember my grandpa having a bucket of old rusty nails sitting on the back porch and that's why. Those things were rare and hard to come by. Who knows, you might need it! As Christians, if we're not careful, we can become like these hoarders. We can hold on to ev...

Beth From Bynum: January 2015
http://bethfrombynum.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Light-bulb Moment . . . Today, I had a light bulb moment, which is surprising. (The older I get the less frequent they become! I realized that I'm becoming like my late grandmother, Mary Melvina Stewart Matthews, and it was the first time that had dawned on me. I know I'm a lot like my mom but had never really seen a lot of my grandmother in myself. It's not a bad thing, but I had to warn Eddie who is just coming to terms with my becoming like my mother! I do have it programm...
