MG Imagery: This day has always been a tough day for me.....
http://mgimagery.blogspot.com/2010/11/this-day-has-always-been-tough-day-for.html
Your Low Country Photographer. Thursday, November 11, 2010. This day has always been a tough day for me. Though most military families count their time of separation from their loved ones in months, we literally count his time in years. During my time in the USAF, and all these years after I've been kind of bitter. The one thing I wanted most during my service was to stand before him and throw him the proudest salute ever. MG Imagery: 2011 recap, where to now???
http://mgimagery.blogspot.com/2012/02/2011-recap-where-to-now.html
Your Low Country Photographer. Friday, February 24, 2012. 2011 recap, where to now? 2011's come and gone, time for a new year and new direction. Maybe I'm just stuck in the annual winter funk that all creatives go through. It's been a great year and a very rough one at the same time. One moment I want to just give up, push harder, bigger, better, faster, the next. Here's a slideshow of some images that were shot in 2011 that I'm somewhat happy with creating. Your Low Country Photographer. Sunday, May 8, 2011. The wrong way to do street photography :). For mothers day my wife wanted me to take her shooting downtown so she could play with her new film camera I bought her for her birthday recently. Since I haven't used it in forever, I decided to take only my Phase One camera with the Leaf Aptus 22 back. I haven't shot anything digital in weeks. So what do you do when you can't blend in and everyone notices you? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Your Low Country Photographer. Saturday, March 20, 2010. Sorry I haven't been posting much. New work schedules and other things, life as usual. I have still been shooting lately, a lot actually. Especially with lighting with my new ring flash. I'll get caught up and get them up on here eventually. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Three MIT Students Take Near-Space Photos On a Budget of.$150? After looking at the photos. You'd swear they were taken from a NASA spacecraft. But NASA didn't have anything to do with these images. The rig flew to a calculated altitude of 93,000 feet. The 5-hour, 20-mile journey produced stunning images that show the blackness of space and the curvature of Earth's horizon. That's right. Return-trip flights to 18 miles above the Earth's surface, with pictures, on a budget of $150. What do you think? A few...

My friend Tony and I rode our bikes to DC yesterday. It was a quick day trip of sightseeing rather than shooting pictures. So, I only took my Canon G9. As long as there's plenty of light, this little camera does a great job. What do you think? Point and .shoot. What do you think? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sunrise on the bridge. I took a trip down to Charleston to shoot the sunrise from this beautiful piece of art in itself, the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. Spanning 1,546 feet, it's the largest cable-stayed bridge in the western hemisphere. Quite a walk from the parking lot, too- one mile to the first pylon. After the sun broke, I turned around and got some great gold light on the bridge. That's it for now. What do you think of this watermark? What do you think? Creepy sights at the old naval base. So after ...

Star Trails: More Than Just Pretty Lights. I have to share a really cool post. I stumbled across late last night. You know those articles that inspire you to actually get out of your chair and go shoot pictures? Yeah One of those. You can end up with a beautiful image. Okay, so I went out earlier and tried his technique. I'm no seasoned expert on star trails so my first attempt looks pretty bland:. What do you think? The making of art is done in the [digital] darkroom. My creative brain is beginning to w...
