June 2, 2016. For so many years I yearned for a touch. Of the moon so high above me. I reached and reached, and stretched and sighed. Thinking I could never reach that high. Eventually I gave up this chase. Thinking I had failed. And then one night, alone on the shore. The clouds parted and I finally knew. I didn’t have to reach up so high. I didn’t have to stretch to touch her. For she was always cradling me. Soft kisses of light, moonbeams on my cheek. I’d always been touching the moon.

Why are those clouds in your eyes, love? You were told that you’re not beautiful? Love, that’s so far from true. You’re perfect in who and what you are.
