Dammit! | Ramblings from The Trenches

Ramblings from The Trenches. The ramblings of a 30-something wargamer who really should know better by now. I’m so weak! As I’m through in Glasgow on business I thought I’d pop into the local Warhammer Store to pick up some 32mm bases. Things didn’t go entirely to plan. This means that my commitment to buying no new models in July lasted approximately twelve and a half hours…. At least you’re not alone. Paint what you own I told myself. Did I listen? Of course I didn’t. Its a sickness I tell you! Nurgle ...

Aspects of the Void: September 2013
http://aspectsofthevoid.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 30, 2013. Michigan GT Army Comp. So the Michigan GT is behind us. Had a great time but wouldn't have minded not playing Tau and/or Eldar all six games. Eldar and Tau were clearly the most popular primary armies with 38 percent of the armies having one or both. 13 of the 55 players had Tau as their primary, Eldar were second with 8 and deamons in third with 6. Overall, here is the breakdown of all the armies. Tau Empire Tau Empire. Necrons Chaos Space Marines. Dark Angels Imperial Guard.

Aspects of the Void: Three weeks to Adepticon
http://aspectsofthevoid.blogspot.com/2014/03/three-weeks-to-adepticon.html
Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Three weeks to Adepticon. Adepticon is just three weeks away. Not sure how it got here that fast. Fortunately my Adepticon To Do list is that bad. It does have some rather important items on it however. Anyways here is my list. If you are going what is yours? 1 Create objective marker. 2 Create display board for my army (finished). 2b Finish the central webway. 3 Figure out where I am staying before the rest of you show up. 4 Paint up 6 bikes for two person team list.

Friday, July 26, 2013. Eldar Cards - The joys of not taking notes. Right before leaving for Poland, I found this great site. Anyways here are some of the card images and a link to pdfs for both sets of powers. One note when printing out the backs may appear slightly off center, this seems to be a function of how the printers flip the paper/grab the paper. I found it easier to let it be slightly off and adjust my cutting to make sure the backs are consistent. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Path of the Artisan.

Aspects of the Void: November 2013

Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Eldar Warlord traits 6. Do you remember when we were talking about rolling 1 and 2 and the powers were good? I do unfortunately this isn't that. Iyanden: The Undying Flame (7): The best of the bunch. Rerolling all saves is good, however the ability is lost as soon as the reroll is failed or you take a wound that doesn't allow a save, inlcuding perils. Eldar: Seer of the shifting vector (2): Chaos Icon on your warlord. Fine but Eldar don't use a lot of deep strikers. Personal...

Aspects of the Void: February 2014
http://aspectsofthevoid.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 18, 2014. The progress on the void dragons continues. I've even got a Void Dragon army list put together that I brought up to AFK last week (but failed to get a game in for the second week in row). A reminder that this is part of the Independent Characters Hobby Challenge. Here is a raider, now all I need are a few more guys to put in it. Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Void dragons, Vect and OSL. However here I think it could have given shifted the focus a bit more to the eldar. I went ...
