MOV and Chad Woodley of Electric Sanitary Tattoo Company staged a pop-up tattoo parlour spectacle,. The event was inspired by the spirit of the late Vancouver designer and artist Tobias Wong, who was famous for appropriating other people’s work. I interpreted a few of Wong’s pieces into tattoos which a select number of visitors could choose from.

From the beginning of their major rebrand in 2009, I’ve had the pleasure of working on a full range of Museum of Vancouver collateral across several departments (marketing, curatorial, education, fundraising). This included promotional material for 12 major exhibits over 4 years. Other clients range from campaign organizers and consultants, to artisans and event planners anyone who needs to present a lot of written material to the public and their stakeholders in a visually engaging way.

Aimed at increasing brand awareness while diversifying revenue, the Museum of Vancouver selected artefacts from their collection and applied them onto products. These were sold by local retailers like Walrus, the Cascade, and the Vancouver Public Library. My challenge was to translate the originals into new designs that could be printed, or etched on glass. Cesnaem Interactives / MOV. Exhibit / Illustration / Infographic / Layout. Is an ongoing exhibit that explores an important ancestral village of the Musqueam First Nation. It aims to generate public discussions about heritage and Indigenous history, and to raise awareness of the significance of the site. The four family-friendly interactive activities I designed involve rope making (illustrated by me), and match-up puzzles.

Explored the natural history of Vancouver, what we’ve lost, how we perceive nature today, and how a wilder ecology might be restored in the future.
