Monday, June 28, 2010. It's official. We now have a teenager in the house (gulp)! We celebrated this milestone birthday by taking him to lunch at Steak on a Stone and having family over for dinner later in the evening. Tonight he is having friends over to "hang out". Turning 13 deserves a week long birthday celebration don't ya think? It is hard to believe I have been blessed by the incredible gift of motherhood for 13 years now! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tuesday, September 14, 2010. The small VSD that was discovered after her surgery has closed and the cardiologist still believes Mia's heart is making its own rhythms without the use of the pacemaker! Mia does not have another appointment scheduled for 9 months! On another note Ethan, Mia, and I visited my brother and his family in California two weeks ago. Saturday, July 24, 2010. Mia one year later. Mia has been home with us for one year now and oh what a difference a year makes! She is a completely different child! Fast forward to a year later. The year certainly has not been easy and it has been full of numerous adjustments for all of us but it has been one of the most blessed and life changing years of my life! Mia is everything we could have hoped and prayed for in daughter! The little girl who was once so fragile is now healthy and full of life!

Wednesday, January 07, 2009. Sunday morning I woke up the boys and told them our final family Christmas party was cancelled. I let them know that Don (close older male friend) was in the hospital. Matthew immediately starts to cry and in my mom of the year fashion think that he's upset since he won't be getting the presents he's expecting. He says "I feel so sad for Don, Mommy! I am so proud of my boy! What sweet boys you've got ;o). What sweet boys you've got ;o). What a great kid! And Mia Makes 6.
