Combined S2BI and CRAFFT. The initial component of the SBIRT. Process is screening, which provides a quick and simple method of identifying client use, abuse, and dependence on alcohol and illicit drugs. Screening tools are research based validated instruments that facilitate standardized and efficient assessment of clients. There are a variety of screening tools available to guide your SBIRT implementation, but the following tools have been identified for use in the SBIRT South Florida initiative.
