The local NGO’s are in many cases active as micro credit organizations or as banks, operating for the poor, who cannot afford the financial services from commercial banks or insurance companies. MIAN considers the local NGO to be the primary actor for micro insurance requests. At this time, MIAN cooperates with local NGO’s in seven countries; amongst others with DHAN in India, NEFSCUN in Nepal, UCA in Uganda and CCSF in Cambodia.
