Hodge Blogs: January 2010

Monday, January 11, 2010. God in our Traditions. So my sister-in-law Teri gave me the book by Noel Piper (John Piper's wife) called "Treasuring God in our Traditions". I am LOVING it! Piper talks a lot about heirlooms, and traditions.that there is a difference in passing down the old fur coat or the family recipe.although both worthy and a great thing.the tradition of Christ in the home is the most important to pass down. But there was shade, especially when. The tree was old: the leaves were thick.

Meet the Glidewells: Now What?
http://glidewellfamily.blogspot.com/2014/05/now-what.html
Sunday, May 18, 2014. For the immediate now, we wait. We are in the waiting, praying, hoping phase of adoption now. We are currently waiting for the medical forms on E. Once we get those, we will have a couple weeks to get everything reviewed by a doctor. After the doctor reviews the files, we sign the formal contract for M and E. There is a nurse on staff, a social worker, and an English teacher all in the foster home. Yay! Sunday, May 18, 2014. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pass Court in Congo.

Monday, March 24, 2014. I keep telling my husband that this whole adoption process is so refining. It forces me to look deep within myself. I got my first "Oh! So you want to adopt athletes? Seriously. No. I am not adopting black children in order to get athletes. I couldn't help but watch my daughter. She is a very confident, independent and secure child, but she was unsure. She was a little scared. She was in a new place that was full of people who looked different than her. I wonder if my adopted son ...

Hodge Blogs: July 2009
http://jasonallisonhodges.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2009. July has been crazy and fast! How is it already the end? We left for the beach on July 5th and were there until the 11th. Then I left w/ the kids and Jason's mom for Camp Kid Jam up at Wake Forest from July 13-20th. Jason came up there for a few days after his mom left. It has been crazy busy. The beach was GREAT! We still had a wonderful time. One of my high lights was a double date we got to take w/ Jeff and Edi! So frustrating when she had it down sooo good! I love this age!

Meet the Glidewells: December 2010
http://glidewellfamily.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 14, 2010. As of yesterday morning my mom is #3 on the transplant list. The doctors were able to get her a higher score for her liver, which moved her up the list. The #2 person on the list is waiting for a liver and a kidney, so my mom may actually get her liver sooner. The transplant could happen any day. Until then, please pray for peace for my mom as she awaits a very scary thing. Pray that she and my dad will not be overwhelmed by To Do Lists and What Ifs. Tuesday, December 14, 2010.

I have never heard screams, cries, confusion, disrespect, disobedience, indecision from you like I have this morning. I love you! You told me to stop - so I kept on.when I began singing you told me to stop - so I kept on.when I began quoting scripture you told me to stop- so I kept on.I LOVE YOU! Wednesday, October 7, 2009.
