They are great kids who want to do the best that they can but have not been given the appropriate supports to get them there. I don't want to sell them short but ...

http://blessedby10.blogspot.com/2011/01/losing-elijah.html
Sunday, January 30, 2011. We went to pick him up from Sunday School this morning. He wasn't there.hadn't been there at all. We lost him. Where could he be? How could we have done something like this? Lost our 5 year old fragile son with autism? Panic set in. Why hadn't some one found him wondering in the halls? Was he out in the cold? Was he hit by a car? Picked up by the police? For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Not just an Ordinary Life...: The question of sin...and FASD
http://blessedby10.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-question-of-sinand-fasd.html
Monday, December 3, 2012. The question of sin.and FASD. Our son runs away. He steals anything he can gets his hands on. He refuses to go to school. And now it is confirmed that he smokes marijuana. Brain damage caused by Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) clearly effects the ability of my son to stop the impulse to engage in behaviors that lead him to sin. Does he sin when he lies and steals? Its a tough question but...
