The Ames Family Blog: September 2011
http://jbamesfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
The Ames Family Blog. Thursday, September 1, 2011. First day of Elementary school! This is just a quick post to show a few pictures of Maddie's first day of Kindergarten! She was SO excited for her first day! We don't have tons of money to spend on designer wardrobes (who does? But I wanted her to have something special. So we got her "Twinkle Toes." They're Sketcher shoes that light up in the toes and the sides when she walks. She LOVES them! I know I'm biased, but what a beautiful little girl we have :).

http://jbamesfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2011/12/santa.html
The Ames Family Blog. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. I just never know how Santa is going to go. Last year was completely awesome! Ben wasn't having any of it. Maddie was VERY eager to tell Santa all the things she wants. (In case you were wondering, she asked for Lion King stuff and Wii Games. Haha! Santa looked at her and said, "You've been thinking hard about this, haven't you? I love how utterly bored he looks. Silly boy! Posted by The Ames Family. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Ames Family Blog: November 2011
http://jbamesfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
The Ames Family Blog. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. This year we had lots of firsts for Thanksgiving! It was the first year we had it in Kennewick. While it's not the first year I've hosted (we've had my parents to Seattle before), it was the first year we had BOTH sets of grandparents to dinner. And as an added bonus, Uncle Dan came too! It was the first time my dad ever participated in fun run: the Turkey Trot! Simba was QUITE intrigued by the bird. Can't say I blame him. It was amazing! Apparently, my...

The adventures of Chris, Starr*, Brandon, Logan, and Sawyer. Thursday, October 13, 2011. EMP and the Sci-Fi Museum. After our Ride The Ducks tour was over we headed to the Seattle Center house to eat some lunch and plan the next move in our day of fun. We decided to take the boys over to the Experience Music Project and Sci-Fi Museum. The boys enjoyed the Avatar exhibit the best out of our visit. I'm glad they got to see it before it moves on to another city. I was thinking that it might be fun t...

The Date Family: April 2011
http://thedatefamily.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
The adventures of Chris, Starr*, Brandon, Logan, and Sawyer. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. This year for his birthday, Logan said he wanted a surprise party. I explained to him that it's not really how a surprise party works. He replied that he wanted a Spongebob party instead then. Well, he ended up getting both. I struggled with ideas for games and activities to keep the kids busy. Since it was a Sponge Bob theme, we had a Krabby Patty relay race,. We played "Sponge Bob bucket toss",. But out of all of the ...

The Ames Family Blog. Monday, May 30, 2011. I believe most of you know that last fall we bought a boat. It's a 1998 Searay, which we got a smokin' deal on, but needed a new engine. .Enter: Joe! Man, I love a guy who can work with his hands! In March and April, we spent a few weekends in Spokane (where the boat was being stored). Joe, my dad (seriously could not get through life without him! And our friend Dave Webb, who is a mechanic, put a whole new engine in it! Daddy and Ben driving. She started paddl...
