The Town of Micanopy. Today, Micanopy has entered the new century with strong roots to the past. For the past 41 years, thousands have gathered under the old oak trees for the Micanopy Fall Festival. The festival is sponsored by a committee comprised of fifteen local nonprofit groups ranging from churches to youth groups to historical organizations.
