Rampal of the Bailey. Caustic constitutional commentary for the masses. Sunday, July 19, 2015. The Uberification of the Economy- New Approaches to Regulation. I The Evolution of the 'Sharing' Economy. The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson. To quote the authors of a remarkably prescient paper written in 1998 [2]. The explosive growth of the PC and the Internet penetration to non-professional users changed the status quo of this industry...

Rampal of the Bailey: My Reservations
http://rampalofthebailey.blogspot.com/2007/06/my-reservations.html
Rampal of the Bailey. Caustic constitutional commentary for the masses. Sunday, June 3, 2007. I just finished reading Arun. 8217;s “Falling Over Backwards:An Essay against Reservations and against Judicial Populism”. Has some excellent points to make and some startling data to share. Some key takeaways-. Point of view, the interpretation placed upon ‘class’ by both the Supreme Court and by politicians is unsustainable. 2 The 1921 and 1931 Census Commissioners reported that various segments of society wer...

SobekPundit: SobekPundit for President! Pt. 1
http://sobekpundit.blogspot.com/2006/02/sobekpundit-for-president-pt-1.html
Still Pissed Off About the Hawley-Smoot Tariff. Saturday, February 04, 2006. So says Michael, commenting over at Jack the Slacker's blog. Twice, in fact, after he heard my position on hobo-strangling. You'll want to go read the comments section for a bit of background. We Can Do Better. This administration is one that doesn't respect your privacy. With the balooning wiretap scandal, ordinary Americans are forced to ask, What's next? A President using the IRS to audit political enemies? I don't think so.

Still Pissed Off About the Hawley-Smoot Tariff. Monday, April 17, 2006. A Very Brief History of Art, Featuring Mr. Potato Head. As part of my never-ending quest to make the Llamabutchers. One day say, "Holy crap, that Sobek fellow is so geeky, he makes us look flat out hip! The history of art, of course, is as old as the history of man. In the famous Lascaux cave, somewhere in France, some of the earliest drawings known to man depict rudimentary images of primitive life. The Greeks are one of the oldest ...

With Daschle (even though as late as yesterday, Obama "absolutely" still supported him):. Demonstrative Evidence: Meet Jane Roe
http://demonstrativeevidence.blogspot.com/2009/02/meet-jane-roe.html
Sunday, February 15, 2009. I may be a month late to this party, but at first I dismissed it as an insignificant piece of bizarro non-news, the opposite of a human interest story. More of a human freakshow. A single mother of six, undergoes in vitro and has octuplets. The public reaction ran the gamut, the full spectrum of human emotions. At least the range between outrage. In the wake of this story there have been editorials. Calls to regulate the fertility industry. And now death threats. Be up in arms?

Friday, May 11, 2007. This is patently offensive. The Supreme Court of Washington. That was based in large part by DNA evidence obtained through absolutely appalling trickery. Even by cop standards. Trying to close a cold case, the police concocted a ruse to obtain the DNA- they sent the suspect a letter from a fictitious law firm, claiming that he was a class member in a (phony) class action. Naturally, he signed a few documents and licked an envelope. They got the DNA off the envelope.
