Royal Caribbean did not miss a beat. They were absolutely perfect and their attention to detail is to be admired. And for those of you who know me – that is saying a lot! Eat, sleep, swim, eat, eat some more and eat some more. Day 10 we arrived in Athens, Greece. We left the ship at about 7:45 am for the bus to the Acropolis. It was interesting to see ancient history. I am a fan of Greek architecture and its symmetry. It was great for taking photographs! Athens is a very crowded city. It is on almost every building.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. Day 8 Wednesday -Palermo. April 22, 2009 – 2:47 pm. We are in Palermo, Sicily (Italy). As I am typing this I am outside on Deck 12 it is about 4:45pm and the ship is just leaving port. The temp is about 69 and the weather is beautiful! The girls are taking a nap since we woke up at 7:30! We ate breakfast and hit the streets of Palermo at about 10am. We decided to take a self-directed walking tour and I am really glad we did. It is everything that I imagined and more.

After breakfast, we went back to the room and got ready to leave the ship at about 1:45pm to visit Malta. On our way off the ship we passed the pool and for the first time the chefs were grilling chicken, sausage and fajitas. It smelled so good! But we were so full from breakfast how could we eat again? Monday, June 4, 2012. Sleep doesn't exist in hotels. I'm convinced that something is put in hotels to keep babies from sleeping. I haven't discovered the full conspiracy yet, but I know when I do that it will be deep and dirty. The entire hotel industry is in cahoots to torture mothers of babies. I'm certain of it! You see, my due date just happened to be on my paternal Grandpa's birthday. He was quite proud of this fact and told everyone in the famliy, over and over that he was FINALLY going to be a Grandpa.
