This is a blog to keep track of my training regiment for triathlons, cycling, and running races. Sunday, July 20, 2014. Hell hath no fury like a plantar fascia scorn. I've been having a bit of plantar fasciitis going on over the last few months. I've been trying to manage it until two Thursdays ago. I went for a run in the morning and after that, it was PISSED OFF! And now, I'm going to take a nap. 2 weeks ago: 10.5 miles. Last week: 9.5 miles. This week: 2.5 miles. Asics mileage: 75.5 miles.

This is a blog to keep track of my training regiment for triathlons, cycling, and running races. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Athletic 2014 in review. I don't always update my blog, but when I do, it is once every 3 months. Oh, one cool trick that I did learn to do was the crow pose. Here are my updated goals. 1) 178 and maintain it. This one may change because my muscle mass has increased so much over the last year. 3) Sub 45 10k. 4) Keep up the motivation. 5) 11 pull ups. 2014 running miles: 460 miles.

http://trainingoferic.blogspot.com/2015/04/life-keeps-getting-in-way.html
This is a blog to keep track of my training regiment for triathlons, cycling, and running races. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Life keeps getting in the way. I've transitioned out of my winter weights program. I swam for the first time since about September 2 days ago. Surprisingly, I still have a bit of swim fitness. My endurance is crap, but my top speed and form wasn't bad. Who would've thought that getting back into the pool would be like getting back on a bike? Run mileage since last post: 49 miles.

I signed up for the sprint because I wasn't ready for the Olympic. I ended up getting 3rd place in my age group! 4 weeks ago: 0 miles. 3 weeks ago: 3 miles. Last week: 8 miles.

Triathlete Diva: No littering on the course!
http://triathletediva.blogspot.com/2013/08/no-littering-on-course.html
Monday, August 12, 2013. No littering on the course! I was being eco-conscious. I'd slammed two mint chocolate Gus on the bike and didn't have anywhere to put the wrappers, so I shoved them under my shorts. Only when I finished Flagstaff's Mountain Man oly tri did I realize why I got so many weird looks on the run. Note to self: When tucking gel wrappers into shorts, do not place them upside down! Wednesday, April 18, 2012. How I ran in my first Boston Marathon, but didn’t. T-1 week until race day. I go for a 2-hour bike ride and feel off. Sluggish. No energy. Two days later I have a fever and can’t move or eat anything except soup made of 98% water, 2% noodles. T-3 days until race day. T-2 days until race day. Running the race. Also, they're all talking about Boston. T-1 day until race day. To discourage people like me who really, really don’t want to have to qualify again and are therefore...
