FARMHOUSE PRINTS: A perfect day - yarn and pie
http://callenson.blogspot.com/2009/04/isabelles-tomten-jacket-i-cant-wait-to.html
Wednesday, April 1, 2009. A perfect day - yarn and pie. Jacket: I can't wait to get started on this project! I knit one in blue/red and we are loving it! Is beautiful, strong and warm. I love how the soft blend of kettle-dyed colors blend together both in the skein and when knit up. You know how some yarn looks great in the skein and not so great in a ball/knit up? I also received this fabric pie at the end of last. Week An IOU I had given my father for last Father's Day. He will be the recipient.

FARMHOUSE PRINTS: December 2008
http://callenson.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Can you believe these yolks? The "yellow" one is darker than the store-bought egg yolks, but it looks so mild compared to the orange one! The chickens have gone from being good pets to troubled teens.instead of always laying in the boxes and going into their house at the end of the day, they are laying eggs off the roost and scattering around the yard at dusk. With a little luck and cooperation from our unpredictable Vermont weather, we will be holding the ceremony at the Waterbury Center Reservoir. It is a state park with a small beach, boat launch, and a gorgeous grassy hill with vistas of the reservoir and mountains. We have spent many occasions on this hill and thought it would be the perfect place to exchange our vows. If the weather isn't ideal, the ceremony will be held at Michael's On The Hill. Foodgasm: May 2011
http://judysfoodgasm.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Because good food doesn't need a special occasion. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. He calls it "dinner duty". Phil has been cooking a few nights a week. And as much as I love to cook and have what some might call "control issues" in the kitchen, it has been so nice to have a few days a week where I don't wake up thinking about how I am going to turn nothing into something called dinner. Monday Phil decided to try a few recipes from the Burlington Free Press, our local daily. The menu looked like this. A great sum...

FARMHOUSE PRINTS: April 2009
http://callenson.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2009. I like to hoard. I call it "collecting" and that seems to justify it. Here is my simple "recipe" (I like it better than pattern) for the Spring Cleaning Quilt. I cut my fabrics into 5"x5" squares and sorted them by color: white, pink, purple, blue, green, yellow. I then arranged them by color on the diagonal, in the order listed above. I made my quilt 12 blocks wide and 18 blocks long. So.216 blocks (hmm.it didn't feel like that many! For a birthday dinner! I've gotten the pain...

FARMHOUSE PRINTS: Extra Child and an Easter Tradition
http://callenson.blogspot.com/2009/04/easter-tradition.html
Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Extra Child and an Easter Tradition. Today is extra child day. It may sound like more work, but our dear little red-headed friend is so much fun for the kids that it's actually. Work to have an extra friend. So, Wednesday is my sewing day! Inspired by this post. I have decided on a new Easter tradition: pajama pants! I used the pattern from Amy Butler's. Little Stitches for Little Ones. Which I have expanded to also fit my older child.
