Michael Without Borders: Oldupai Gorge

http://michaelwithoutborders.blogspot.com/2009/12/oldupai-gorge.html

Friday, 25 December 2009. Located between Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Oldupai Gorge. Is a fairly famous archaeological site which has given a lot of information as to our origins. During my safari we made a stop here at the museum and we learned a bit about the Leakeys (Mary and Louis) who spent decades there, uncovering many fossils that are millions of years old and may be from our ancestors. Here are some pictures of the gorge:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

PeaceRipples: August 2010

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world: Indeed it's the only thing that ever has. Saturday, August 21, 2010. What does food preservation have to do with peace? Last night our neighbour Rachel gave me an armful of zucchini from her garden. I had been looking at a recipe for Prize Winning Zucchini Relish. Tonight I pickled some mushrooms using suggestions from The Nourished Kitchen’s Preserve the Bounty Challenge. To Preserve in Vinegar:. Links to this post.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world: Indeed it's the only thing that ever has. Thursday, March 11, 2010. That *may* be overstating it somewhat, but Facebook has become my favourite stress reliever. And this semester has been very, very stressful. I'm taking Poverty in Canada, which I was quite excited to be taking, at first. You thought you knew how bad poverty is in Canada? And then last night I realized, "Hey, when was the last time I posted to my blog?

PeaceRipples: Profits Over People

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world: Indeed it's the only thing that ever has. Friday, June 04, 2010. We live in a society that seems to be built on putting profits over people. Companies are always so worried about their bottom line, and keeping their share prices up, and being able to pay dividends to shareholders, but they lose sight of the needs of the people working for them. What is a company without employees? When is the revolution coming? Ian Paul...
