The journey of my lifetime. Honduras – Dia Tres. March 30, 2011. Today marked our first work day in San Jorge. The project we were tasked with this year was foundation work for Pastor Jaime’s house. Pastor Jaime, Mindy and their two sons currently live in the back room of the church. Of concrete both by hand and wheelbarrow. I even got to play around with a sledgehammer for a while. I’ve never done more manual labor. I can also say that I’ve never done work that was more rewarding. Enter your comment here.

The journey of my lifetime. Honduras – Dia sies. March 30, 2011. Since arriving, it seemed like we were always on the go. So I was really looking forward to somewhat of a lazy day. The day started with a hike to the top of Ambassador Mountain, where Charlie Smith, the founder of Heart to Honduras, is buried. Upon completion, we were rewarded with coconut water, courtesy of a nearby tree and machete. The day ended enjoying a nap in a hammock back at the dorms. Honduras – Dia Cinco. I chronicled my experience while I was there so that I could share it with others.
