Oh the places I go. Saturday, June 6, 2009. The vaulted ceilings were taller then the roof it seemed, and the colors from the stained glass windows were rich on the white marble floors. While there we also saw things like the Duomo, Pointe Vecchio, Foundling Hospital, and of course The David. We also enjoyed a true Italian dinner as a group that consisted of 2 unlimited pasta dishes, meat with potatoes, salad, and biscuit. Basically I didn't eat till dinner the next day. AWESOME! Oh the places I go. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Are there no peanuts in Italy? Its a simple thing and something I would have never guessed would be the thing that I miss the most from the United States. Oh the places I go. Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Not what I was expecting. At that point I realized that the culture shock was that there was none, and that american culture is everywhere! I spent Easter Sunday in the old town part of Zadar and just like the states kids were dressed up and everyone was heading to spend the day with their families. It was custom there to carry a basket of sweets and baked goods to trade with neighbors and practically everyone had a gelato! April 22, 2009 at 12:02 PM.

I am sorry! I am out of debt (minus student loans) but including my car! 7k in less than 6 months! That's awesome and I have changed my spending habits and am a recovering shopaholic. And that's ok. I stay strong and don't spend money to bring happiness. So what do I do? I have made friends at church. YAY!
