Dit jaar was Jedburgh onze uitval basis om de Scottish Borders te verkennen. We verbleven in The Nest, een prachtige cottage in Abbey Close met vanuit de slaapkamer een prachtig zicht op de achterzijde van de abdij. Herbouwd door Sir Andrew Kerr in 1598, het werd bewoond gedurende tweehonderd jaar voordat het in verval geraakte.
