Walking, hiking, flowers and food in Japan. Hike – Oze Marsh 尾瀬ケ原. Oze Marsh and Mt Hiuchigatake. 2 days (approx 9 to 10 hours in total). May to early October. A full map of the hike can also be viewed at GPSies. Although this hike is the only major hike in the area, there might not be any maps available at the Oze Visitor Centres so I recommend you buy a map. The Mapple 山と高原地図 series number 14 map is of the region, and is available on Amazon.co.jp. Hatomachitoge 鳩待峠 to Miharashi 見晴. Start of the trail.

Mt Tsukuba offers a lovely view of the Kanto plain, and occasionally Mt Fuji. Facilities include restaurants, a cable car and rope way. Walking, hiking, flowers and food in Japan. Hike – Kamakura Ten-en Hiking Course 天園ハイキングコース. Another pleasant hike from Kita Kamakura Station 北鎌倉駅 to Kamakura-gu Shrine 鎌倉宮. There are a few temples of interest along the way, and great views of Kamakura town 鎌倉. On a clear day you can even see Mount Fuji 富士山.
