November 2016 | Wild Birth
http://wildbirth.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html
Life as a birth keeper. Tuesday, 29 November 2016. Dark path, new moon. This is Venus, low on the horizon, lighting my way through the dark woods. Feeling my way along the path today, one foot in front of the other, moving forward with my dear canine friend Ernie and a distant planet as my companions. I will wake to the wages having gone into the bank, to a new moon, and a new month. Much gratitude. Monday, 28 November 2016. Amber Etsy shop update! Green amber is my personal favourite, and I have made co...

The start of the Season | Wild Birth
http://wildbirth.blogspot.com/2016/09/september-stuff.html
Life as a birth keeper. Monday, 5 September 2016. The start of the Season. Summer begins to give way to autumn and August gives way to September with that sublime, mellow, honeyed afternoon sunlight peculiar to this time of year. Everything has given all its got, groaning with over-ripe fruit and going brown round the edges. People feel the shift in the seasons, and before we had electricity, daylight inexorably waning each day lead us to appreciate the life-giving warmth and light of fire. Happiness con...

http://wildbirth.blogspot.com/2016/07/11-oclock-stop.html
Life as a birth keeper. Friday, 15 July 2016. Common breastfeeding challenges: Artificial Feeds and Low Milk Supply. Still smiling from the aptly-named Positive Birth Movement meeting last night, I went to the hospital this morning to begin training to deliver the '11 o'clock stop' information to mums on the postnatal ward. September 2016 | Wild Birth
http://wildbirth.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html
Life as a birth keeper. Thursday, 29 September 2016. This is a photograph of a place I go to in my head to visualise the sea when I want to relax myself. I chose this picture of it above more traditional sunny photos because it shows that visualisation for relaxation can mean different things to different people, and different things to the same people at various stages in their lives. My relaxing and welcoming home clinic in Hassocks. Information about the environment is received through the soles of yo...

Amber Etsy shop update! | Wild Birth
http://wildbirth.blogspot.com/2016/11/amber-etsy-shop-update.html
Life as a birth keeper. Monday, 28 November 2016. Amber Etsy shop update! My Winter shop update happened on Wednesday 23rd November at Midday, and several adult and baby necklaces have sold already. I usually carry only four or five of each design for the adult pieces, and I rarely repeat designs over different collections, although some are proving to be such firm favourites and bestsellers that might change! Common Breastfeeding challenges: We Love snacking...and so does your baby! | Wild Birth
http://wildbirth.blogspot.com/2016/08/we-love-snackingand-so-does-your-baby.html
Life as a birth keeper. Saturday, 27 August 2016. Common Breastfeeding challenges: We Love snacking.and so does your baby! So does your baby! One of the things I always speak about is parents worrying about their baby's milk intake, enough to consider giving an artificial feed. There are three main reasons for this worry, and one of them is frequent feeding. I include in this so-called 'snacking' and non-nutritive suckling. Not every feed is. If you're ever concerned about your baby's frequent feeding, a...
