Friday, February 27, 2009. Just when you thought you had a great deal. I'm beginning to understand why money is so hard to come by for a techie. I can blame it on the vast expanse of technology evolution. Five years ago, I spent $225 on a 120 GB external hard drive.and that was a SALE price. Now, I can get a 1 TB (tetrabyte- 1,028 GB) for $100. I could buy 2 TB at the price I spent on ONE 120 GB drive five years ago! What's worse.I own THREE 120 GB hard drives. You do the math. Wednesday, September 30, 2009. It's beginning to look a lot like. For five seconds I considered this little gadget for Parkview's Christmas season. Okay.six seconds. Sunday, September 13, 2009. Retaining wall almost done. I needed to thin the number of layers as the wall reached the gas meter and air conditioner. Saturday, September 12, 2009. To check on my work.maybe even snatch a quick meal. Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Fruit of the spirit design. I wanted to mimic the tile-style design on the stage bac...

Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Putting the kid to the test. Hols hasn't been feeling well for the past few days. Nausea and overall discomfort are keeping her from eating and drinking fluids in confidence that she'll be able to keep them down. The baby hasn't been quite as active recently either, so, we consulted the doctor, and she scheduled a non-stress test to make sure he was okay. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, November 16, 2008. New pics of the renovation process with the church building this past weekend. We're getting close! This is the new FOH (front-of-house) system. The equipment is suspended, but everything needs yet to be wired. We just got electricity fully restored in the building a few days ago, so we're well on our way to testing the system. My fresh, new office. New drywall, new doors, new paint, new carpet, same useless window. The Atrium restored from the last time you saw it. Sanded and ...

because all my journals are collecting dust: April 2009
http://andrewmanion.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Because all my journals are collecting dust. Thursday, April 30, 2009. Today I said farewell to Intern Josh. His time is up - his wings are spreaded. Today I spent the afternoon running downtown with Mike Tatu. Helped us move it from the van into Mike's living room. I got lost on the way to Jay's house. I traveled in a wide looping circle over the Alaska, Lowell, and Caledonia borders. Twice. Scott and I ran errands with Jay. We drove with Mr. Kamphuis. To the air-port and saw Jay off to South Africa.

because all my journals are collecting dust: October 2011
http://andrewmanion.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Because all my journals are collecting dust. Saturday, October 8, 2011. As you can tell, I haven't written anything in a while. More on that later. In the mean time, here is a doodle I cooked up this afternoon. It's part of a scene in an idea for a play I hatched, also this afternoon. It's just an idea, but you never know what might come out of it. 8221; you should instead look in the mirror and ask yourself, “Why is he picking on me? Is that what you think you're doing now? because all my journals are collecting dust: My Funeral
http://andrewmanion.blogspot.com/2009/02/my-funeral.html
Because all my journals are collecting dust. Wednesday, February 11, 2009. New amendment in the ongoing plans to plan the disposal of my own body. Enough gasoline will be used to ensure the fires success, but no more. A live recording of Breathe Owl Breathe's "Playing Dead" will be played on speakers as the flames spread. The fire will take place in the field behind my parents house. A tree will be planted over my ashes. March 7, 2009 at 7:08 AM. Sometimes you scare me. April 5, 2009 at 6:48 PM.

because all my journals are collecting dust: "How to Tell A true War Story"
http://andrewmanion.blogspot.com/2009/01/how-to-tell-true-war-story.html
Because all my journals are collecting dust. Friday, January 30, 2009. How to Tell A true War Story". This post shares a title with a short story by Tim O'Brien I began reading the other day. The essay is nestled between other stories like it -ones about his tour of duty in Viet. Though each can stand as an independent work, major motifs carry throughout; namely watching his friends die suddenly and with seeming randomness. Yeah, that's more easy to come by. Real morals to our everyday fables? Changing M...

Because all my journals are collecting dust. Saturday, October 18, 2008. A cough can rattle my chest -and it looks like it's going to get worse, for a week or two. Causing me to think of all those old romantics, torn apart by TB. Punctuation, or over doing it for emphases, makes me feel poetic at times. I've been writing lately, and loving it -but wish I was doing more of it. I am optimistic of my future, a warm blanket when I am alone at night. Working with children causes me to want them for my own.
