Kiki and Dad's Road Trip 2014: It was bound to happen
http://kikianddad.blogspot.com/2014/08/it-was-bound-to-happen.html
Kiki and Dad's Road Trip 2014. A Father Daughter memory building exercise. Friday, August 1, 2014. It was bound to happen. We had such great weather the first 4 days we finally caught up with the rain. Or It caught up with us? For a day that was supposed to be all beach and horseback riding it turned into a rain soaked traffic jam. So we turned around and did what we could the rest of the day. Hit a historic lighthouse, which was closed due to thunderstorms. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Kiki and Dad's Road Trip 2014: Wednesday - Batman and Robin
http://kikianddad.blogspot.com/2014/07/wednesday-batman-and-robin.html
Kiki and Dad's Road Trip 2014. A Father Daughter memory building exercise. Thursday, July 31, 2014. Wednesday - Batman and Robin. 7:00 AM comes fast when you don't get to bed until almost 3:00 AM. Today is some adventure, more than I even planned to do. The canopy tour, (i.e. Ziplines), was at 9:00. Does she look tired? Both of us were a little unsure of what to expect with this. In the end our fears were unwarranted. Our guides were great, the weather spectacular, the ride fun and views pretty. ANYWAY&#...

A Tenderloin Runs Through It: Tracer Round Tutorial
http://atenderloin.blogspot.com/2013/10/i-was-struck-by-muse-in-bottle-last.html
A Tenderloin Runs Through It. On Muddy Boots and Clean Plates. Thursday, October 10, 2013. I was struck by the muse in the bottle last night, sipping bourbon and staring at the vice, when the color of my Buffalo Trace in the glass inspired a new pattern. It's been a while since I did a fly tying tutorial. And I've never done one here on A Tenderloin. So here we go. Introducing, The Tracer Round. Try that as a pick-up line at the bar sometime. So we watch what the other guys are tying, and add our own twi...

A Tenderloin Runs Through It: August 2014
http://atenderloin.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
A Tenderloin Runs Through It. On Muddy Boots and Clean Plates. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Fleet Farm Time Machine. Suspended with feet drifting up for the surface in water as clear as the air, face down with one hand clamped on a piling grown slimy with feathery green algae. Frozen in breath-holding time above a clean cobble bottom – this is how I first fell in love. It wasn't big, but it was ours. All socioeconomic injustices temporarily waylaid, we were free to cross the much shorter route to our gated ...

A Tenderloin Runs Through It: January 2015
http://atenderloin.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A Tenderloin Runs Through It. On Muddy Boots and Clean Plates. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Despite its title playfully derived from The Book. Venison loin au poivre, an updated classic. That being said, I've been hovering around a food related idea I believe important enough to brave a toe-dip into the deep waters of food blogging. This idea is not especially original or profound, but I think it's worth discussing. It is something I believe in completely. Ignite the fires and crack a beer. If all you wa...

A Tenderloin Runs Through It: Green Tomatosplotion
http://atenderloin.blogspot.com/2014/10/green-tomatosplotion.html
A Tenderloin Runs Through It. On Muddy Boots and Clean Plates. Saturday, October 4, 2014. The fall canning season has been going fast and strong, and now I find myself in possession of a mountain of tomatoes that didn't quite make it before the oncoming freeze tonight. I'm happy to can, pickle, fry, fire roast, and do just about anything else I can think of to get these lovelies gobbled down or put up for the winter. If you happen to have a favorite green tomato recipe, please comment below.
