Matt's Military Moments: Another Tour

http://www.militarymatthew.blogspot.com/2010/10/another-tour.html

Saturday, October 30, 2010. Along the path to the cave I saw this cool little foot bridge. Although it looked plenty sturdy, I was still a little glad we didn't have to cross it. :). This vine-like tree made a neat, if not totally dry, covering at the entrance. Some parts of the cave were a bit open and often either had a steep incline or decline coming in and out of those areas, while other parts you had to bend over and nearly crawl. Ah, Light at the end of the tunnel. Destination #2 was a boat ride ac...

Matt's Military Moments: My 1st Trip/ Tour in Korea

http://www.militarymatthew.blogspot.com/2010/10/my-1st-trip-tour-in-korea.html

Saturday, October 30, 2010. My 1st Trip/ Tour in Korea. My first tour that I got to take here in Korea took me to a couple of different places. We started at the Chikso Waterfall, or more specifically the trail head to the waterfall. There was a lot of beautiful mountains that surrounded us the whole way there as we hiked in, as well as a frozen over lake at about the half way point. The second place we got to see was the Neso-sa temple. Here are two of the guardians near the entrance. Some people were d...

Matt's Military Moments: February 2010

http://www.militarymatthew.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 26, 2010. Matt has been granted permission to come home April 27-May 25! He'll be here exactly 4 weeks and he'll be here before the baby is born (as long as I don't go into labor early. I'm buying a cork! We are both very excited and glad that he gets to be home for this occasion. He missed 95% of the pregnancy and I felt it would just be really difficult to see him miss the birth too. Besides, having help around the house that first month is going to be amazing! Monday, February 22, 2010.

http://www.militarymatthew.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Thinking of My Family. Today for work I had to sit around a lot and my mind went towards my family and how much I miss them and how last year at this time I was counting down to the weekend to go visit my family before I finished tech school and left for Korea, and how now I'm counting down 'til when I can see them again. The Beach Bunk Diaries: Happy Birthday Emmaline!

http://musingsofabusywoman.blogspot.com/2012/09/happy-birthday-emmaline.html

The Beach Bunk Diaries. Nuggets of thought from a busy mom. Thursday, September 27, 2012. Because of being in a hotel room we didn't end up wrapping any of her presents. Instead, we blind folded her and made her guess what she was getting. It was a pretty fun change up! This year she got a cute make up bag/purse with lotions, a charm bracelet, socks, and a new playpen for her baby dolls! We are literally 50 yards away from the base of the Space Needle in this picture. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Beach Bunk Diaries: February 2012

http://musingsofabusywoman.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

The Beach Bunk Diaries. Nuggets of thought from a busy mom. Monday, February 6, 2012. Last week I planned FHE with the idea of actually giving it. But come yesterday afternoon, I realized that I was completely unprepared. Those 'last minute things' that always happen ended up being things that were completely impossible to do with only a few hours left to prepare. Ugh. So, we decided to trapse down to the beach to enjoy time together as a family. It was really fun! Links to this post.

The Beach Bunk Diaries: April 2012

http://musingsofabusywoman.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

The Beach Bunk Diaries. Nuggets of thought from a busy mom. Saturday, April 21, 2012. Emmaline's friend, Elaina, had her 6th birthday party yesterday. He mom arranged a tour of some caves on Ritidian Beach, to which we've never been. Not for lack of trying :). We only stuck around for the cave tour and skedaddled when it came time to swim, we had other things we needed to get done and it was HOT outside! But I think I (well, Matt actually) got some fun, cute pictures. The thing about Emmaline is that she...

The Beach Bunk Diaries: Welcome baby Thaddeus!

http://musingsofabusywoman.blogspot.com/2012/10/welcome-baby-thaddeus.html

The Beach Bunk Diaries. Nuggets of thought from a busy mom. Friday, October 26, 2012. It's horribly depressing to me that I can't figure out how to post pictures on my blog with my IPad. I've avoided posting for that very reason.what's a blog without pictures? But at the moment I feel like telling TJs story and we will just have to get to pictures later. He was really blue when he came out. Matt cut his cord but they took him to the isolette before I could hold him. I did get a moment to hold him...The t...

Links to this post. Friday, July 20, 2012. Thursday, July 19 will go down in history in our family. We went for Gabriella's placement hearing, which turned out to be the finalization of her adoption instead! It says " I love you too but I am not feeling well but I write well". And the flip side says "I am a big sis M...

http://musingsofabusywoman.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

The Beach Bunk Diaries. Nuggets of thought from a busy mom. Saturday, January 5, 2013. A hiatus is needed. The last post I wrote was about TJ being born.that was three months ago! I swear that there are a ton of cool things going on and most of it we are getting pictures. But without the ability to post Picts right now, I feel it pointless to write about it. Ill give a brief update on our fam before calling a hiatus until I have access to my lovely computer again. Thaddeus is doing awesome! The family in...

The Beach Bunk Diaries: The Space Needle

http://musingsofabusywoman.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-space-needle.html

The Beach Bunk Diaries. Nuggets of thought from a busy mom. Thursday, September 27, 2012. Matt and I went on the coolest date last week! We got reservations at the Space Needle for dinner! It was incredible. I've never been to a 'fancy' restaurant and I kept trying to act like I didn't feel out of place. We arrived before our table was ready so we went up to the observation deck to get some good pictures:. I didn't take any pictures of our dinner, I didnt think you'd be interested! I was completely jokin...

http://musingsofabusywoman.blogspot.com/2012/08/guess-where-i-am.html

The Beach Bunk Diaries. Nuggets of thought from a busy mom. Saturday, August 11, 2012. Guess where I am! Wanna guess where I am? Here are some clues! When I got here I realized that having only one pair of socks is not going to work. My pants will get wet walking around and my toes will freeze. I am excited to go to the two zoos that are nearby. The view of the mountain is amazing fom many places on base. The trees are evergreen but the grass is ever-brown! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My husband ...

The Beach Bunk Diaries. Nuggets of thought from a busy mom. Monday, May 28, 2012. I'm Sexy and I have Proof. Even with three little children running around the house, I managed to get pregnant! We are expecting a baby in October! I felt a lot of nauseousness during the first trimester but mostly exhaustion. We are not having twins. We have decided on the baby's name. We are having a boy! The Beach Bunk Diaries: What's going on?

http://musingsofabusywoman.blogspot.com/2012/08/whats-going-on.html

The Beach Bunk Diaries. Nuggets of thought from a busy mom. Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Britta: hanging out in Seattle, trying to keep myself occupied. I just hired a Doula, which is cool. Thaddeus: currently getting a bit too big for his current apartment and is considering moving. He loves being photographed weekly but even more he loves to wiggle right at the moment where the ultrasound tech is getting the perfect picture! In the near future Matt is going to bring Emmaline and Lottie here by Space-A fli...

Military Matters -- Ancient

Military Matters - Ancient. Tuesday, March 22, 2005. How did they ever get anyone for the first row in a phalanx? In a conversation with my brother-in-law one day he asked me the question How did they ever get anyone for the first row in a phalanx? His assumption was that it was a battle of attrition defeating one row at a time until the formation broke. Military history, being a hobby of mine, I decided to do some research to answer the question. Posted by George V. Schubel at 3:39 PM.

Military Matters for Georgians

Healing 4 Heroes Assists Veterans with Service Dogs. Seeing the veterans with their "battle buddy" in action is awe inspiring. These once unwanted dogs are now the best friends of our veterans in need. Veterans return home in body, but sometimes, the effects of war remain with them. Whether it is a loud noise, or loss of hearing from their service, the veterans can have difficulty in returning to life as they knew it before their service to our country. What can we say? To learn more how you can help, fo...

Military Matters -- Age of Gunpowder

Military Matters - Age of Gunpowder. Tuesday, March 22, 2005. The Operation of a 24 lb. Naval Cannon on the Gun Deck of a British Ship-of-the-Line During the American Revolution. There can be no doubt that the scene of a gun deck in action was a vision of hell sixteen cannons in a row all thundering and recoiling with great billows of smoke filling the gun deck. In the murk and stench one could hardly see at all and due to the great thunder of the cannon, the noise would be almost unbearable. The main pa...

Military Matters -- Modern

Military Matters - Modern. Thursday, March 24, 2005. Is it Time for a Draft? The concept of a draft as a means of manning the U.S. military is not a popular idea today. After all who wants to be forced to go and fight for their country in some far off land? Is it not better to have a professional, all volunteer military of people who want to make the military their career? So why consider a draft? Argument for a professional all volunteer military. It is much easier for politicians to send the volunteer ...
