Tuesday, August 23, 2011. New Wind Farm in Sheffield. I turned left onto Sheffield Square Rd, which climbed steeply. After a couple miles, I emerged into cleared land and began looking around. I passed a house with a sign near the driveway – paraphrasing, it said Wake up Vermonters! I found it rather unobtrusive. Sometime in the mid to late 1990s, eleven turbines went up on the Searsburg ridge. More recently, we drove past the vast array along the St. Lawrence River in Cap-Chat. Links to this post.
