Deetra's Simple Treasures: December 2010
http://deetrasimpletreasures.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Christmas at Great Wolf Lodge. We received an early Christmas present! Shawn's parents sent us and the Miley's to Great Wolf Lodge for an over night stay. They wanted the "kids" to experience all the beauty and fun of Christmas at the Lodge. They transform this place, normally really pretty, into a wonder land. Our kids have been there many times and LOVE IT! Doesn't this just make you smile? I just love this fireplace. It's cozy and inviting. After a full day of playing eve...

Deetra's Simple Treasures: April 2011
http://deetrasimpletreasures.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 20, 2011. The calendar says that Spring is here but the weather sure had not cooperated! We went from cold and snowy to cold, windy and rain! We have still taken full advantage of the nice days that we have been blessed with! Shea had one last birthday celebration at the Dublin Rec Center and that day happened to be 80 degrees! It was nice for the kids to wear swimming attire and not worry about freezing to death. The girls (and Sean, Shawn and Will) had a fun time! Lazy river was a hit!

Friday, July 23, 2010. Change is good. correct? I mean we change seasons, jobs, houses, etc. We deal with change in our lives every day. This week, there was a big change around here. At first I was kind of flipping out but this change is really growing on me. Remember me saying that last weekend I was playing with my camera and took portraits of the kids. Will's turned out so cute! Change, remember that subject. Well, change we got! As those were the only words I could speak for a while. Shea looked...

Tuesday, July 5, 2011. We Love This Country. Happy 4Th of July week! We went to North Bank Park and ate dinner at the NiSource party. Then we walked along the river to the NiSource parking garage. Where from the roof-top we watched, in person for the first time, Columbus' Red, White and BOOM! While we have seen it on TV many times, I must say in person was a sight to behold. The kids loved it! Saturday we went to our friends, the Rausch's for a pool party. The kids swam all afternoon! Not only have we be...

We met up with Daddy and Aunt Nan at the mall Thursday night. Daddy kept trying to talk her out of it, she wasn’t having any of THAT talk! We went to Claire’s and they were so good to her. Daddy taking one last look pre earrings. Hole number one. And there were NO tears at all! See, all done and she looks great! I have a won...

Deetra's Simple Treasures: November 2010
http://deetrasimpletreasures.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Go For The Gold. Anything worth doing is worth doing well! Didn't your Mom or Dad always tell you that? We tell our kids that. Along with practice makes perfect. I think Shea is getting the message. First off, her friends Brandon and Brianna had a birthday party the day before Halloween. They did fall inspired activities and one of them was bobbing for apples! The kids were excited about this. Shea dove right in there. I think by looking at her face, it was cold! And medals&...

Deetra's Simple Treasures: February 2011
http://deetrasimpletreasures.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Winter, It's Still Here. It's February and while the calendar says it is still Winter, we had a taste of Spring last week. Man oh man does it hurt now! We had lots of ice and some snow on the ground and Mother Nature gave us a gift of warm weather to melt it all. * Insert many praises* * It wasn't long-lived. Winter came back with more ice and snow. Bummer. But. We've managed to get some fun in! First thing was our niece, Nola, turned one year old! Chief, not so much! The rabb...

Deetra's Simple Treasures: Birthdays are worth celebrating!
http://deetrasimpletreasures.blogspot.com/2011/04/birthdays-are-worth-celebrating.html
Monday, April 4, 2011. Birthdays are worth celebrating! March 31 was my birthday! I officially turned into my mid-thirties at 4:41 AM. I have to say, so far, 35 doesn’t feel any different! While Shawn was driving home from PA that day, he did come through the door with flowers, a card and a cake. This is because I was convinced he had forgotten my birthday, for the third year in a row. He claims he didn’t…. We went on with her party. Poor Shea just sat in the corner chair while we all enjoyed the day...

Friday, October 29, 2010. Pumpkins, Spider man and a Butterfly. Our kids have been really excited this week. 65279; It started out as a warm week, they were playing in the few leaves left in the yard that Shawn hasn't picked up. After soccer last Sunday we decorated our pumpkins. In past years we have carved our pumpkins. Not only is it a mess but we end up all aggravated with one another. This year I went a different route. The potato head route! The kids love it. Shea and her princess pumpkin. The Todd...
