For months he planned, organized, got friends and family involved simply because he loved his wife and wanted this birthday to be something she would never forget. Knowing his wife wanted family pictures, he set up two photoshoots with me - one on a weekend she was away with her besties celebrating, and another on her birthday to capture the surprise as well as photographs of their family together.

Thursday, May 17. At 2:30 in the afternoon, my busy day of hustle and bustle came to a complete halt and I was reminded just how precious life is. It's especially easy to forget this when life is as it should be. It's brought to the forefront of your mind when it's not. You never know when you are going to get that call. Sometimes it happens first thing in the morning. Today it came about 45 minutes before I was to pick my kids up from school. The song that echoed in my mind all evening long.
