The Millet Family: May 2015
http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. May 19, 2015. Robin Hood and Fancy Nancy! We had a few other birthday surprises up our sleeves for Benji - for his birthday we got him a bow and arrow set which he LOVES. So much so, in fact, that he insists we all call him Robin Hood now. He spends ages outside shooting now and has gotten quite good. For a preschool outing, we took the kids to see Fancy Nancy the Musical. For 'reading practice.' We love our little man - he is our most emotionally inve...

The Millet Family: Via Ferrata
http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2015/07/via-ferrata.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. July 17, 2015. Probably our most favorite Switzerland adventure was going on the Via Ferrata or Klettersteig. While staying in Murren. It's a climbing/hiking route along the side of the Alps just below the town of Murren. Our two guides took us on ziplines, ladders, suspension bridges, cable bridges, and even some simple rebar bolted to the side of the cliff. All at 1600m off the ground! Travis and I at the beginning. Um Maybe next trip. I couldnt believe ...

http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. March 31, 2015. St George and a Wedding. Last weekend we met up with my family in St. George to celebrate my Dad's wedding. It was a perfect spring break getaway for us and we had a wonderful time in the beautiful Dixie weather. On the first day, we took the kids to Pioneer Park to explore the beautiful red rocks. It's a scary troll! Nah, just kidding. He doesn't bite.too hard. Here's the cute girl cousins - Brookie, Paige, Cami and Nora. March 16, 2015.

The Millet Family: Roadtrip to Murren
http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2015/07/roadtrip-to-murren.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. July 16, 2015. After Luzern, Travis and I rented a car again to drive to our next adventure in Murren - a little car-free town high on the Alps above the town of Lauterbrunnen. I have to say though, road trips through the Swiss countryside are beyond beautiful. Since Switzerland is about the size of South Carolina, it really took no time at all to get between our different destinations and we quite enjoyed the freedom having a car allowed us. As I was taki...

The Millet Family: Staubbach Falls
http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2015/07/staubbach-falls.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. July 19, 2015. Our last day in Murren, we rode the tram back down to Lauterbrunnen and decided to hike up Staubbach Falls since it was pretty rainy and foggy and our legs still had not quite recovered from our all day hiking adventure the day before. This short, fairly easy hike appealed to us because it took up right up behind the actual waterfall. Even if the trail itself was a bit rocky and slippery at times. Brought to you by Michelle. Travis: Um, no&#...

The Millet Family: The (foggy) Schilthorn
http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-foggy-schilthorn.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. July 18, 2015. One of the super tall mountains just above our little village of Murren was the Schiltorn - the day after our via ferrata adventure we decided to take the gondola ride up to the top to get some great views (ha! And check out where the James Bond movie "In Her Majesty's Secret Service" was filmed. If you know Travis well, you know that he is a bit of a 007 fan so this was a pretty exciting experience for him. Brought to you by Michelle. I was...

The Millet Family: Luzern Last Hurrah
http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2015/07/luzern-last-hurrah.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. July 12, 2015. Our last day in Luzern was pretty fantastic. I joined Travis for the last session of the SETP conference and got to hear some amazing speakers - the keynote was an astronaut named Reid Weissman who spent six months on the International Space Station. He had some amazing pictures and stories to tell. Could not have asked for a better group of people to explore a foreign country with. Michelle, Travis, Andy, Dana, Liz and Corey. Benji's new wo...

The Millet Family: December 2014
http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. December 29, 2014. We have so many natural wonders near us that we've made a goal to visit as many as we can while it's not blazing hot outside. The boys are both totally obsessed with rocks or what they think are 'gems' at the moment and so are always up for an opportunity to go tromping around. Last Saturday we went out to Vasquez Rocks - which has some truly spectacular rock formations but unfortunately we chose a super, super cold day to go! Travis was...

The Millet Family: April 2015
http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. April 19, 2015. Broken Arm and Ridiculously Adorableness. This post is a whole lotta randomness but I have to say while going through my recent pictures - my kids are totally, without a doubt, the cutest things I have ever seen. How did I wind up with such beautiful little humans? We were getting along okay until I took him into the doctor again this past Friday and after another x-ray the doctor was concerned about how well it wasn't. Healing. He said...

The Millet Family: Zurich, Cambridge, and Home!
http://themilletfamily.blogspot.com/2015/07/zurich-cambridge-and-home.html
An engineer, a book addict, and three cute kids. July 19, 2015. Zurich, Cambridge, and Home! If you're just joining in the. Picture fun, be sure to start here. Driving to Zurich was a bit of an experience - we may have taken a few wrong turns and even wound up driving down a sidewalk at one point, but eventually we got the rental dropped off and had a few hours to spend before our flight the next morning. I did make a necessary stop at Sprungli. For a box of out of this world macaroons. Left side of the ...
