NW Cancer Resource Fund. You will be skiing/snowboarding two runs each on two adjacent courses. Each of the two courses will be skied by a pacesetter before racing begins each day. The pacesetter establishes the course time on each course. The difference between your time and the pacesetter's time is your handicap. In 1988, Larry Chadwick and a small group of friends started the Oregon Cancer Ski Out as a way to positively channel their sadness and frustration over the loss of loved ones to cancer. The idea was to create an event that would benefit cancer research, hospice and cancer prevention programs. NW Cancer Resource Fund. How much of the money raised goes to charity? We have done our best to control cost, which has resulted in 90% plus going to the beneficiaries. With a part-time staff person, donated food and beverages, and unequaled support from the Inn at Hood River and Mt. Hood Meadows, we will continue this goal. What is “Bucks to Buck”?
