November 11, 2010. Patterns in the sand. 8212; mindthegaptravel @ 3:09 am. We stopped on a red sand dune not far from Uluru. The incredibly fine sand was marked with mysterious tracks. We sensed that tracks like these may inspire some of the patterns in Aboriginal art. This gravel embedded in the sand also seemed suggestive. The tracks may make more sense after seeing this. If you go back at look at the others, you may guess some were left by snakes, others by lizards, perhaps some by mice.
