Wrote the book while she was serving at a hospital during WWI. It was finished in 1916, but she wasn’t able to find a publisher that would accept it until 1920. It didn’t take long after the book was released, however, for Christie to become a success and a favorite of mystery lovers everywhere. The Mysterious Affair at Styles.
