Well, there's lots I could talk about, mostly in relation to an actual wedding and such, but for now, I'm just going to talk about the flight out here. We got on the plane, and sat down. A very drunk man sat down in front of us, and proceeded to ask us if we were traveling for business or pleasure. Not wanting to be rude, we said we were on our honeymoon. Beautiful things from the other day. Waking up and having my hair tumbling about my shoulders in lovely waves. It makes me smile, even if I then have to bundle all of my hair up to teach. Support from my department head - it's really nice to be affirmed at the same time as one of your students is telling you why you cannot do anything right. Remarking, at 2pm, that the cat sleeps like a 2 year old, sprawled out in whatever uncomfortable-looking position, but sleeping for hours on end. 11am today. Corralling my brother into helping me give the cats ear drops. 10:28pm today. Successfully holding one cat down and getting ear drops in. 10:32pm. Asking my brother if he knew where the other cat was, so we could do them both. 10:33pm. Arriving upstairs, to find the cat actually dead. 10:35pm. I don't even know what else to say. Things I never thought I would actually have to do. So My boss and I are fighting over something that I thought was pretty clear when she hired me. I don't work Sundays. Ever. For religious reasons. This has been clear for the last eight months, but now she's decided that "one in eight months isn't so bad" and has scheduled me for a Sunday in early July. It never worked for him. Saturday, November 03, 2007. Flowers at the almost-naval museum. I'm back in Haiti, MesiBonDye! I had a slow start, especially with the heat here I can feel like I need to rest all of the time and sometimes need a kick in the pants to get going, but I am starting to collect a lot of photos so must not be sitting around all the time!
