It Will Make Sense Later: Barcelona and Beyond
http://ilmsl.blogspot.com/2011/06/barcelona-and-beyond.html
It Will Make Sense Later. Monday, June 20, 2011. Well it's 12:42 am here in Font-Romeu and despite how ridiculously hard today's training was I cannot sleep. Cruddy insomnia. Just kidding. But seriously, this isn't the first time this has happened this camp. I've had a number of nights where I can barely sleep a wink. Lucky for you, I will sit here and write a blog post while chilling to the soothing melodies of the xx. As soon as we touched ground we broke up into small groups and toured. First we (...

It Will Make Sense Later: A few Photos
http://ilmsl.blogspot.com/2011/06/few-photos.html
It Will Make Sense Later. Friday, June 10, 2011. I'll post more as the weeks go by, we head to Barcelona tomorrow afternoon, so I should have plenty then. Unless I forget to take pictures. Gabs leg after wearing compression socks for the past 24 hours of traveling. The stuff we put ourselves through. An abandoned old hotel that Michael had come across the day before. Time for some further investigation! Such beautiful decor in these rooms. And what a view this hotel provides! Short Track Speed Skating.

It Will Make Sense Later: Font-Romeu
http://ilmsl.blogspot.com/2011/06/font-romeu.html
It Will Make Sense Later. Monday, June 6, 2011. Hello from Font-Romeu, France! Plus, Medicine Hat was always nice and warm when it rained; when you went outside you enjoyed it. It was a rough trip here, as usual, because I am incapable of sleeping on planes. I managed to survive 36 hours without sleep which would finally culminate into a 9 hour coma last night. Remi literally had to punch me this morning to wake me up. Posted by Liam Heath McFarlane. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

It Will Make Sense Later: April 2011
http://ilmsl.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
It Will Make Sense Later. Saturday, April 30, 2011. First off, happy late easter everyone! It was a fairly uneventful week in Montreal. We underwent a number of tests designed to analyze our current physical condition leading into the new season. I was poked, prodded, inoculated, questioned (Oh god, the questionaires! Slave driven through physically exhausting and demanding experiments, thrown in test "pods" and even my blood harvested. Results: Out Of Shape. I caught up with Michael, Jess and Gabs after...

It Will Make Sense Later: July 2009
http://ilmsl.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
It Will Make Sense Later. Friday, July 31, 2009. A lot of my free time over the last month has been devoted to reading. There are a couple books that stick out in particular, but Skiing Zen. By Rick Phipps pulls in at #1. Leading up to May my library strongly consisted of science fiction novels. They're a nice escape from reality, but I felt the need try something new. So I started reading Biographies! Throughout that stint I got a hold of Michael J. Fox' books: Lucky Man. And Always Looking Up. Before m...

It Will Make Sense Later: June 2009
http://ilmsl.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
It Will Make Sense Later. Thursday, June 18, 2009. University. Arrrg. (a lil' bit of whining). You know it's not that I don't like school. It's just that I don't enjoy doing. I know some of my fellow team mates can relate to me on this. Don't get me wrong, there are those that can succeed in both simultaneously. Good for them! But you know what? I'm not one of them. I just don't like doing multiple things mediocre. I know my potential, and I'd prefer to do one thing exceptionally well. When i...I attribu...

http://ilmsl.blogspot.com/2011/06/beyond.html
It Will Make Sense Later. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. First off, Happy Summer! Told you I would be back. It was a tough day yesterday, I suffered through that night for some reason tossing and turning in my bed until 4 am and was up 3 hours later for weights. But I got a better sleep last night. Here are a couple more photos of Park Gael, a lot of Goudi structures. Guillaume and Frank, I think there was something significant about this photo. Something about a movie but I can't remember. After the park we ju...

It Will Make Sense Later: January 2010
http://ilmsl.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
It Will Make Sense Later. Sunday, January 17, 2010. It was an experience of a lifetime. Thinking about it now still sends shivers down my spine. Yesterday morning felt really long; everyone in the house was busy getting ready for the day's events. But me being me, I just wanted to relax and cruise through the morning stress free. I approached the day no differently than I did when I competed at Olympic trials - remain calm and don't panic. Here is an article from the Globe and Mail on the event:. Http:/ ...

It Will Make Sense Later: October 2009
http://ilmsl.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
It Will Make Sense Later. Wednesday, October 14, 2009. The World Record is 41.051 held by Korea's Si-Bak Sung. This weekend I basically tied it in my Quarter final at Oktoberfest, I went 41.054. At the time I was pretty choked, as I've always wanted a time below the World Record (you know, somewhere in the 40 seconds). But needless to say, I was happy to finally have a 500 m time that is one of the fastest in the World. I wasn't done there, later in my Semis I went 40.886! I didn't think much of it at th...
