Florence and other adventures. Thursday, February 14, 2008. Italians stereotypically talk with their hands. Well, I've found this to be true, and if they are holding something, that also becomes a part of the gesture. Last weekend went to the Cinque Terra (5 lands) on the coast with a friend. We hiked between a few of these tiny colorful villages, and the views were incredible. It was torture to be so close to the ocean, and not jump in! Ok, so not venice. Venice black and whites. The device is a bit bigger than a vespa and can produce a similar rush. In Amritsar the majority of the traffic was bikes, tractors and horse drawn so it seemed less life threatening to careen around street corners on three wheels at 25mph. Palak Paneer (Spinach with Cottage Cheese). 1/3 Cu cooking oil in a super hot pan. 5 dry whole red chili's (add to oil and stir). 2-3 Tbs whole cumin seed (add to oil and stir). 2-3 Tbs chopped garlic (add to oil and stir, wait until brown). 1/3 Cu chopped onion (add to oil and stir, wait until brown). 1/2 Cu chopped tomato. 9 months of adventure in India. Monday, August 18, 2008. Best Mexican Food in India. Was at the Novotel in Hyderabad. Great tortilla chips, salsa and a legit taco. I didn't even mind that they brought Parmesan instead of Monterey Jack. Sure beats the 'burro to' in Rishikesh and the new Delhi hot spot Sancho's.
