Sunday, October 28, 2012. Couch to 5k, and beyond. Run, Jon, Run. Ten weeks ago I decided I wanted to be in better cardiovascular shape. I do yoga regularly, but with a two year old and staring a new business, a 90 minutes a workout just isn’t practical. The weather in Phoenix getting nicer and running is a great option. Enter the couch to 5k running program. So if your looking to get into running, I fully recommend the couch to 5k program. It worked well for me and I’m looking forward to my fi...Get fit...

Monday, September 23, 2013. In September 2013, I was fortunate enough to attend XOXO: an experimental art and technology conference. There’s a contagious energy about XOXO. Are making the world a better place by inspiring people to build products independently. And ‘products’ is probably too narrow of a description. Things? Wonderful and beautiful things? And so they produced XOXO, which is in its second year and I was lucky enough to attend. To hand picked food trucks. To the quality of events. They fit...

Sunday, June 27, 2010. This tweet from Linda Stone. About the iPad is right on:. IPad is the iPod of reading. A sense that distractions r minimized. Only what’s essential in the experience. This goes beyond iBooks. The iPad is different than a traditional computer in that you are limited to working within one application at a time. The entire screen is always devoted to the task at hand. Distractions from other applications are minimized. Valuable focus and attention are maximized. Wednesday, May 19, 2010.

Saturday, March 16, 2013. Monday, March 11, 2013. At Play in Dusk. Wednesday, February 27, 2013. I love New Orleans. It’s culture and historic architecture shows how young of a city Phoenix is. I could live there if it wasn’t for the humid summers and occasional hurricanes. Here’s the full Flickr set. Built in 1770 and predating the Declaration of Independence, Lafitte’s is one of the oldest standing structure in America. Ryan orders a Sazerac. At the Roosevelt Hotel. Debby lounges in the lounge.

The story so far. I was born and raised in Mesa, which makes me a rare native to Arizona. I live in one of the best neighborhoods in Central Phoenix and in the US. I’m happiest when I’m creating something: whether it’s online, with my hands, or taking photos. I love design and find beauty in the details. One of my favorite projects is Parking Tickets, in which I shot photos for. You can purchase them online here. Or in any Urban Outfitters. Co-inhabitants include: my lovely wife, Debby. Our son, Josef.

Monday, January 5, 2009. I’ve been meaning to redesign my website for awhile now. I’ve played around with a few designs before finally sitting down over the holidays to bang out the website you see before you now. This redesign has been long overdue, to say the least. There are so many. To use elegant, readable typography. To have a clean design that doesn’t detract from the photos I post. To experiment with CSS 3.0 techniques. To make better use of my sidebar and footer. One of the best things about dig...
