Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Over and over and over and over. Summer has begun. At least that's what the school calendar is telling me. I wouldn't really know for sure because I'm still wearing jeans and sweaters and carrying an umbrella in my purse, but my Facebook news stream is filled with Americans complaining about something called "heat" and posting pictures of themselves in these funny short pants with no lower leg portion. And weirdly, all their tops don't seem to have sleeves. Ask to watch Nemo.

Thursday, July 31. I bribed my kids to go with me to Homegoods. Today after camp pickup and saw a great chest of drawers that I thought would look great on the landing at the top of the stairs. So presto changeo.a little landing makeover for you on a Thursday evening. Whatcha think? I kind of love it! It's sort of hard to tell because the mirrors are reflecting the dark wood floors, but the wood on the drawers is a really nice distressed look with the mirror background and these cute "crystal" like knobs.
